Hometown Glory continued to improve on the all-weather over the winter and is perfectly at home on this surface. Showboating has also been running well of late without success and Pashan Garh returned to action with a decent second in soft going at Doncaster. The latter would prefer more cut in the ground and COMRADE BOND is preferred. Mark Tompkin's charge finished a close-up fourth in a higher grade handicap at Yarmouth last month and looks set to strike off his current mark. Red Seventy has yet to show any benefit for his tumble down the weights but Mutafaakir will be scoring soon on the evidence of his latest second at Doncaster. Recent Chepstow winner Dashwood has been raised 4lb and is upped in class today but Robert The Painter could be thereabouts though hasn't won since 2010.
