      Verdict

      OSAILA took her chance in the Albany Stakes at Ascot last month and was by no means disgraced when finishing fifth behind Cursory Glance. The Al Shaqab filly gets the vote in this lesser company. Surewecan and Commander Patten opened their accounts in modest maiden races last time and Geordie George should go well on the back of a second in a novice event at Newcastle. Billyoakes failed to cope in a hot nursery at York last time but won at Hamilton before that.
