Verdict

HAXBY made a promising start when runner-up at Leicester last month. A winner has already come out of the race and Roger Varian's colt looks the one to beat on that form. Stanghow also ran well in a lesser contest at Ripon last week and Indian Keys may improve on her debut effort at Newcastle on this faster ground. Freeze The Secret and Caprior Bere are related to middle-distance winners so Prince Bonnaire, a half-brother to a winner over 6f, may prove best of the newcomers.
