Some interesting newcomers here including Alfie's Connection and Lady Speaker but we will side with the form horse here and plump for Giovanna. This daughter of Orpen had obviously shown plenty at home as she went off 5/2 favourite for her Towcester debut. She had no answer to the finishing speed of Theres No Doubt, but she did have three previous winners behind so the form looks pretty decent. Keith Reveley trains Alfie's Connection, a well bred son of Danzig Connection, so watch out for this one in the market. The same applies to Tim Easterby's Lady Speaker who is by Saddlers Wells out of a Strong Gale mare and is related to numerous winners.Custum Design showed signs of ability on his debut and may prove best of the others with experience, but Giovanna should be open to plenty of improvement and she gets the nod.
