      Verdict

Pogo doesn’t look the force of old and, along with Jumby, has something to find with Audience on the latter’s win in the Group 3 Criterion at Newmarket in July. The latter was just ahead of the filly Sandrine when runner-up in a Group 2 at York three weeks ago but today’s going is a major concern. SPYCATCHER (NAP) will love conditions, however, and has run a couple of cracking races in defeat at Deauville since last seen in the country. He won over 7f on his reappearance so the return to a slightly longer trip shouldn’t create any issues. Biggles steps out of handicap company but did finish ahead of the selection at Ascot in the spring, though is now 6lb worse off.
