Plenty with claims and a chance is taken with sole three-year-old, RED ALERT. His latest run on an artificial surface needs to be put down as an off-day but a repeat of the level achieved on his penultimate run when disqualified after passing the post first in a decent Salisbury handicap would see him go well off a fair mark against essentially exposed sorts. Ruth Carr has done an excellent job to coax course and distance winner, Flash City, back to form at the age of nine and a recent good second at Nottingham puts him at the heart of calculations. Powerful Dream is in good nick at present and should be competitive along with Just Us Two and confirmed trailblazer, Pearl Noir who looks pretty dangerous off the bottom perch.
