Verdict

One Step Beyond and Kyllwind made late progress on their respective debuts at Windsor and should know more today. But ST IVES was placed in a tougher contest at York last month when clear of the rest and given the winner has gone in again subsequently, the Haggas colt is taken to open his account. Cheat is related to three winners and Powertrain is a half-brother to a Listed winner while Trevie Fountain and Soaring Star represent leading northern yards are other newcomers to note.
