In depth
Verdict
CHARLEMAR couldn’t cope with the step up to Grade 1 company in the Tolworth Hurdle at Sandown last month but wasn’t entirely disgraced. He’d won both previous hurdle starts at Chepstow and Aintree and remains a nice prospect who should be capable of giving 10lb to these rivals. Ramses De Teillee has run a couple of nice races at Taunton since switching to hurdles and should pick up some place money again. Chelsea Flyer possibly found the combination of soft ground and 2m4f too much at Plumpton last time and is better judged on an earlier second at Newbury - he would have a chance of causing an upset on that form.
