Verdict

Chase End Charlie showed a willing attitude to better Mondello at Wincanton three weeks ago and won his maiden here last year. He’s only been raised 5lb but has been found wanting when tried over 3m in the past. Kelvingrove has had a mid-winter break but would have claims on his best form and Swoop To Conquer may do better upped in distance on his handicap debut. Three Ways and Prouts Pub are others to consider and make more appeal than West Torr but ABBREVIATE will be tough to beat if lasting home. He made a very promising reappearance at Kempton in December and still has a bit of scope - soft going is not a problem.
