Verdict
INNISFREE LAD proved his stamina when ploughing through the Uttoxeter mud for a 28-length victory on New Year's Eve for which a 7lb penalty looks inadequate, though he won't have similar conditions this time. Cheque En Blanc had been a beaten favourite twice before making amends with a comfortable victory on soft going at Taunton for which he's been raised 6lb. That was his first victory over timber on his 12th start but there could be more to come. Max Dynamo has yet to win but is getting closer and was a long way clear of the third when runner-up at Towcester. Amberjam has been chasing but scored at Uttoxeter a year ago on his last start over hurdles and though Reine Des Miracles has shown nothing so far she makes her handicap debut over a very much longer trip.
