      Verdict

Backwell has the best racecourse form on offer here and showed his liking for a soft surface when finishing close up in a decent Newmarket maiden earlier in the year. He has been given a couple of months rest after disappointing at Kempton on his only subsequent start but should be spot on here and is the TEAMtalk selection. One Way Ticket will have his supporters as he showed he can handle a bit of cut when third in a Newbury maiden two weeks ago. He is entitled to improve on that effort and should go close. Sir Mark Prescott has his horses in excellent form at present so his One Off although not showing great ability is worth considering while Nassaro, a rare runner for Sir Michael Stoute on the AW, will be ready to run well.
