Windshear, fourth in the 2014 St Leger and a winner here last year, was placed in a couple of Group 3 races later but has been a huge disappointment this year. Last month's Windsor winner Landwade Lad has a lot to find on these terms while Oasis Fantasy often flatters to deceive. Revolutionist could bounce back at any time but MOUNT LOGAN clearly wasn't himself last time at Goodwood. If judged on earlier fourth behind Dartmouth in the Hardwicke Stakes at Ascot, he's the one to beat despite conceding the others 6lb.
Mount Logan (IRE) 7-2 (9-1) Tracked leader, pushed along over 3f out, ridden and lost 2nd over 2f out, chased leading pair until entering final 2f, weakened over 1f out, 6th of 7, 8l behind Kings Fete (9-1) at Goodwood 1m 4f Grp 3 stks (1) gf in Jul.
