Elaine Burke won the inaugural running of this 12 months ago but her entry this year, Aquilifer, has yet to manage a place in seven starts on turf. Charlie Swan rode last year's winner and his mount, SKYFIRE, may be the one to beat again. He hasn't been beaten far in a couple of handicaps over this trip at Newmarket recently and will get every assistance from the saddle, which is probably more than you can say about many of his rivals. The hat-trick-seeking Talent Scout should give Tom O'Ryan a good ride, however, while Thierry Gillet's mount Lockantanks is fairly consistent and has every chance at the weights. With Kevin Darley on board, Tribal Rhythm also has to go on the short-list though he hasn't raced June and is better over further.
