Punctilious has to be respected but Godolphin's filly has a Group 1 penalty to carry for her Yorkshire Oaks win and she may struggle to concede weight to the progressive Kastoria, who gets the vote ahead of other older horses Autumn Wealth and Sweet Stream. The last mentioned was talked of as a potential Melbourne Cup horse after her win at Deauville last month but may not be good enough for that or this and is yet to confirm her suitability for this trip. Amanda Perrett's Autumn Wealth has claims on the form shown behind Punctilious at Newbury, especially with the stable in better form now and probably makes more appeal than Thakafaat. John Dunlop's filly looked useful when landing the Ribblesdale but has since disappointed in the Irish Oaks and, like fellow three-year-olds Albahja, Miss Particular and Songerie, she does not look good enough. The vote then goes to the John Oxx-trained Kastoria, who is a progressive filly and suggested when winning the Galtres Stake sat York last time that today's longer trip would bring about even further improvement.
