Best Example was beaten a long way at Newbury and doesn’t appear to be in particularly good heart at the moment, comments which also apply to Dunquin and Macksville, who is best watched on his first run for a new trainer. Boychick has been running consistently but looks a little high in the handicap while Goldslinger is more effective over further and preference is for PADDY'S ROCK (NAP). He returned to form in fine style over course and distance last week and, off his current mark, is quite capable of following up in what looks like an easier race. Steccando’s third at Thirsk was an improvement on his previous effort at this trip and he should be able to make the frame here.
