Particularly if the market speaks in his favour, The Fun Merchant can make a winning debut, with Danesmead and Hearthstead Dream rated the dangers. The Willie Jarvis-trained selection is a son of Mind Games, cost 28,000gns and comes from a good family. The trainer also tends to do quite well when travelling north for a meeting. Danesmead has respectable juvenile form and looks booked for a place at least, while Mark Johnston runs the debutant Hearthstead Dream. He cost 20,000gns and is a son of Dr Fong, who is doing pretty well with his juveniles this year. With James Given's stable in such good form, a market move for either of his entries would be interesting, although Listen To Reason should appreciate further in time.
