      Verdict

Frizzante, despite being raised 10lbs for her Leicester win, can win again; her main dangers in an open affair could prove to be Le Meridien, Columbine and Eastern Blue. Top weight is the big hurdle to overcome for James Fanshawe's filly but, lightly raced, she could be up to it. She also won here as a juvenile. Effervesce is three pounds higher than for her Leicester win while Le Meridien is certainly back on a winning mark. Columbine and Eastern Blue have form enough for place claims, while Amber's Bluff, Amused, Columbine and Lady Protector all locked horns recently at Newcastle.
