Verdict

Captain Cargo is a progressive stayer who won by nine lengths at Warwick, despite still showing signs of inexperience. He’s gone up another 9lb but goes on the short-list. No Hiding Place won over this trip at Kempton before finding 2m6f to short at Ascot and should also be thereabouts. Sliding Doors is a consistent sort and Page Fuller’s claim will help Dans Le Vent but Kapgarry and Fortunate George appear out of sorts and Canelo may need this. SKIDOOSH looks sure to be suited by the step up in trip making his handicap debut. The going is also in his favour and Ben Pauling’s string is in great form at present.
