Not as competitive as the size of the field would imply. Al Muallim goes well in this type of event but was a little below par on his seasonal reappearance and faces no easy task at the weights. Sharp Hat would have solid claims if at her best but is another whose recent form gives little encouragement. Mizhar has been in fine fettle of late but this is a step up in grade following his recent efforts in selling company so the vote goes to Contrary Mary. Jon Akehurst's charge ran promisingly on her return in better company at Windsor and looks sure to go close on these terms.
