Not too many arrive in the best of form but WELL SMITTEN came with a strong late rattle to score here the last day on a first run for Sam England and can defy a 6lb rise for the win. Klbrew Boy pulled up as a beaten favourite last time but has had a good break since and has every chance if back to something like his previous level. Native Robin appears to have gone off the boil of late so Mr McGo looks next best as he seems to be steadily getting his act together over fences and has been dropped 4lb so far this year. Lake Takapuna was beaten a long way on debut for James Ewart but had some useful Irish form and it would be dangerous to discount him.
