BROKEN SPEAR has shown enough in a couple of starts to suggest he can win at this level. Tony Coyle’s charge found the progressive Kinks too good last time and was runner-up in the Brocklesby over track and trip on his earlier debut. Murqaab and Dixieland will need to improve to trouble the selection so a newcomer may prove a bigger threat. Of those, Cosmic Law and stablemate Ninetythreetwenty are related to winners and both are preferred to Mark's Choice.
