Archaeology missed the break at Newmarket last month so did well to get within a length of the winner. If he gets away on terms today, he’s a danger to all on that evidence but the interesting pair look to be Newmarket raiders ROMOLA and Lehoogg. Sir Michael Stoute’s filly gets the nod as she was a ready winner of a novice race at Lingfield in September and there should be plenty more to come. Roger Varian’s colt found one too good at Thirsk on his reappearance but the first two pulled well clear and the handicapper may have been lenient. Absolutio won at Redcar last month but this is a better race and he is 6lb higher.
