Soccerjackpot is rated better than his last run however CELTIC SULTAN is another dropping in grade and is taken to score for Tadcaster trainer Tom Tate. The selection was well-held in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot but he should run better now back at Doncaster where he was second to Signor Peltro previously. His previous win at Catterick came when he was taking advantage of a 7lb lower mark but it would be dangerous to rule out further improvement today. Internationaldebut continues to move up and down in trip, whilst Light From Mars and Soccerjackpot were both well-held in the Wokingham although the latter wasn't disgraced. With a different profile is the progressive three-year-old Crime Writer; he dotted up at Ayr recently but this looks a tough first attempt at handicaps. Of more interest then may be Esoterica who continues to hold his form well, or Musaalem who is a course winner and he has been dropped 4lbs for his recent defeat at Ascot. A case can also be made for all-weather specialist Atlantic Story but he will do well to add to his meagre turf wins tally and so it is Celtic Sultan that we return to for the winner.
