Plymouth Rock is the most interesting horse in the line-up following a debut win at Warwick but he is faced with a stiff enough mark (82) and this may be tough against some older rivals; preference instead then is for top-weight DEMOLITION who is taken to blow his rivals away. Noel Wilson's gelding was outclassed last time at Hamilton but he drops in class today and we should see a different performance today. His effort at Ripon the race before wasn't bad and a repeat of his previous run, a win at Beverley off a 3lb lower mark, would be good enough to see him go close. Conquisto is receiving little respite from the handicapper, a comment that also applies to Spirit Of Adjisa and Dar Es Salaam. Polish Power has winning course form and has been in good form on the all-weather recently, albeit at a lower grade, and he cannot be overlooked here. Murbrooke is unexposed and he is bred to improve for this longer trip, as is Plymouth Rock. Jeremy Noseda's son of Sadler's Wells made a good impression on his Windsor bow and along with fellow three-year-old Battle Planner looks sure to run a big race from the bottom end of the handicap. A tough race to call, but the feeling is that Demolition can get back to winning ways.
