A tough race to call as many hold sound claims on the pick of their form. However, Bishopric is open to more improvement than most and is given a narrow verdict over Best Flight, who has a little to prove on his return to turf, Island Light, who also still has plenty to offer, and Telemachus, who is ideally suited to this trip and arrives here on the back of a good blow-out at Haydock from last month. Dunaskin also makes some appeal as an each way hope as he should at least handle the cut in the ground and has already posted a good effort over course and distance. However, Bishopric created the impression that he has plenty to offer when he bolted in on similar ground at Chepstow on the second of his two previous starts. He son of Bishop Of Cashel should have no problem with the extra two furlongs in this company and the Henry Candy-trained gelding should not be overlooked in this company today.
