In depth

Verdict

A most interesting contest with four previous winners being tackled by newcomers from high-quality yards, all of which makes a market check essential. Wafy was unplaced in the Sandown Classic Trial and it's a little strange to see him revert to this novice stakes level. Ace Ventura will surely progress at three, Global Giant should be all the better for his reappearance and The Navigator was pretty impressive when obliging at Thirsk. Cases can be made for each but ETERNAL FRAME receives a healthy 7lb from the previous winners and came home in pleasing fashion at Newbury on just his second start. He looks sure to progress again and is preferred.. Shareef Star is another potential improver, whilst Collide, National Army and Sharamm most most appeal on paper of the newcomers.
