Verdict

TISTORY faces no easy task under a penalty but still gets the nod as he was clear of the third when runner-up to Brother Brian over this trip at Newbury last time. Minella Friend looks the biggest danger to the selection despite having failed to justify favouritism twice since running Horizontal Speed close at Exeter on his hurdling debut. I Got Power is likely to by suited by the longer distance having run well twice over shorter here and it will be interesting to see if there is any market interest in Monksgold after a break. Go West Young Man was well beaten on his reappearance but showed promise last season and is likely to strip fitter today.
