Verdict

Fireball Macnamara has been a model of consistency this term finally getting off the mark at this track last time out. On paper he looks hard to beat especially under the prevailing conditions. His main challenge may come from Regal Exit who was sent over hurdles last time out, running well in defeat in the Tote Gold Trophy at Newbury. Previously he ran well twice at Ludlow. With his trainer having an excellent record at this track he is very much respected. The rest seems either too inexperienced or in too bad a form to be seriously considered against the leading pair though Sister Superior had some useful hurdle form and runs here for an in-form trainer.
