UK raiders Ribbons, Secret Gesture and Princess Loulou have all been beaten in lesser company and have some improving to do. Pollyana's third behind Cirrus Des Aigles at Longchamp looks good on paper but the latter was a cosy winner and Narniyn is preferred after finishing second in the Nassau Stakes at Goodwood. Calyxa finished third behind runner-up Noble Mission in Munich last time and the latter was not that far in front of the Irish filly EUPHRASIA when winning a Group 1 at the Curragh in May. Joseph Murphy's charge may well come out best in this testing ground.
