Verdict

This contest has provided rich pickings over the years for overseas raiders and American trainer Wesley Ward won it last year. He has strong claims once again with Windsor Castle winner Hootenanny stepping up in trip but the Coventry Stakes form at Ascot looks superior and THE WOW SIGNAL won that in good style. A line through the runner-up gives the Hannon colt the beating of Lehaim and Goken and he gets the vote. A Group 3 winner here, Ervedya remains unbeaten and looks best of the home challenge.
