Not surprisingly no favourite has won this in 10 years. Hasanour is the only course and distance winner having scored comfortably last Saturday to complete a double. He has a mandatory 5lb penalty which is unlikely to prevent a big run. Sretaw was only a head behind him at Galway and is a pound better off so there shouldn't be much between the pair again and she also had Maggie Dalton behind on this track when runner-up to Shanoan. STRAIT OF ZANZIBAR had Sretaw in second spot when scoring at Bellewstown and is better off at the weights. He showed himself in top form with a victory at Naas last time and looks to have as good a chance as any. Muharrer wouldn't be travelling from the UK without a chance while Intensical could prove the best of Jim Bolger's trio, though he was put in his place by Vastonea at Galway. Defining Year wasn't beaten far in that latter race and finished strongly so he's another to note in a wide-open handicap.
