A late decision will be taken on whether Epsom Derby hero SEA THE STARS takes his chance in the race with John Oxx keen to assess the ground as close to the race as possible. If everything is suitable, he can confirm form with Fame And Glory, Masterofthehorse and Golden Sword, who all finished in behind him earlier in the month at Epsom and will struggle to get the better of him this time. Their only hope is to try and test his stamina to the maximum on this more galloping track over 12 furlongs but Sea The Stars got the distance very well at Epsom and will take some beating if getting the green light from connections. Fame And Glory is a tough performer and will run an honest race again but the difference between the two in the English Derby was obvious two out - Mick Kinane was sat motionless on his mount while Seamie Heffernan was hard at work. His mount responded gamely to get throw down a challenge but he never looked like reeling in the winner. Chester Vase winner Golden Sword was a bit of a sacrificial lamb at Epsom and set too strong a gallop really. He plugged on for fifth to his credit but does not look to have the requisite class to trouble the favourite. Having seen a hefty shower fall at the Curragh on Friday evening, Oxx may well wait for Sandown with Sea The Stars but if he lines up, he is likely to win this with another touch of panache.
