    Verdict

    Aidan O'Brien has won this for the past three years and intends to keep up the sequence with two of the four entries. SWORD FIGHTER was a 33/1 chance in the Queen's Vase but made light of those odds with a tremendous front-running effort where he just kept galloping. He shouldn't have any problems dropping back in trip though stable companion Landofhopeandglory looks a big threat. Ryan Moore chose him over the winner at Ascot and again takes the ride so he must be convinced his mount can reverse the form. Alveena has always looked a potentially decent stayer and has been in excellent form in handicaps on soft ground while Cymro, a close fourth behind Dartmouth in the Ormonde Stakes at Chester, is much better than he showed at Royal Ascot.
