Verdict

Order Of St George has won the last three renewals for Aidan O’Brien but the latter runs four of his St Leger entries this year. Flag Of Honour beat Giuseppe Garibaldi to land a Group 2 over track and trip last time and is also preferred to Family Tree but SOUTHERN FRANCE gets the nod of the Ballydoyle quartet. The latter found only subsequent Group 1 winner and stablemate Kew Gardens too good in the Queen’s Vase at Ascot in June and may well take another step forward today. Willie Mullins runs three of his older stayers and Renneti finished well ahead of a below-par Thomas Hobson when runner-up at Ascot earlier while Laws Of Spin has a bit to find on these terms. Twilight Payment won a Listed race at Down Royal for Godolphin last time but was behind Flag Of Honour earlier.
