Verdict

Wrekin Rock, a winning hurdler, went up 10lb for scoring over the C&D in May and was well beaten on his only subsequent start a few days later. He's been given a break and would be difficult to beat on that run over the track and trip. Athlumney Lass has yet to reach a place in nine starts and doesn't appear to like soft ground while Palinode returns after a very long break and is racing for new connections though she's very well handicapped if recapturing her best form. MUDAFFAR has a nice pedigree and showed battling qualities to land a maden at Ballinrobe. This is his handicap debut and he isn't badly treated so gets the vote to go in again. Jeremy's Girl has only raced over this trip on testing ground twice and has won them both. Any more rain and she would be a big threat to all.
