In depth

Verdict

An intriguing handicap where just about everything arrives in good form. FISCAL FOCUS has only been raised 4lb after a hard-fought victory over a mile at Leopardstown but the very heavy ground looked against him and hopefully there'll be no more rain for him and he can take this. I'll Be Your Clown made a surprise winning debut in a Sligo maiden where he had Sherama two lengths behind in third and though the latter is 8lb better off Andy Oliver's charge has much more scope. John Constable appeared to relish the 1m5f at Navan so it's a surprise to see him dropping back in trip and Namurian Sunset has a bit more to do than when landing a Gowran maiden. Tonton Macoute was regarded as a jumping prospect before he gained a shock victory over Prussian Eagle at Clonmel where he made all but Bleeding Hearts was a bit disappointing on his final start at Killarney. Hannah's Magic was unlucky in-running at Killarney, though she could have done without being raised 6lb.
