Verhoyen, who won this back in 2019, gained his sixth track victory three weeks ago but a 9lb rise makes this much tougher. BIG GOSSEY (NAP) also loves these handicaps having won three times here. He was beaten a head by Mr Wagyu a year ago and can go one better with Danny Sheehy's claim to aid his cause. The winner was trained in the UK as are Albasheer and Strike Red. Colin Keane has been booked for the former, who has returned after a very long break and should be spot-on while Richard Fahey's Coral Sprint winner has been running well in top sprint handicaps and can run into a place. It's a while since a three-year-old won this and both Aussie Girl and Gypsy Woman face stiff tasks but the veteran Blairmayne pops up every now and then in this type of race and Coachello has been racing in strong company.
