Just one favourite has won this in recent years and there have been plenty of big-priced winners. Johnny Murtagh has been on board for Nidian's last two runs and his mount will come in for support again. However, he was beaten a couple of lengths by MAAREK at Navan last month and though better off at the weights the winner was having only his fifth start that day and is progressing enough to overcome an 8lb rise in the weights. Phoebe Van Gelder needed every yard to score over 7f here earlier this month but she's a very progressive filly who had run well over this trip last season. She rates a big threat along with Notgonnagiveup, who wasn't far behind her last time, and Rahya Cass, who probably found the minimum trip just too short at Navan a week ago.
