Gustavus Weston beat Make A Challenge to win this a year ago with Glen Shiel back in fourth. However, the going was very testing that day and unless there's a deluge it will be a surprise if the latter, subsequently runner-up in two Ascot Group 1's, doesn't turn the tables. He does enjoy some cut in the ground but he was readily brushed aside by Brad The Brief in a conditions' race at Haydock a couple of weeks ago. He didn't look at his best that day and his overall form is a cut above that of Hugo Palmer's charge. A CASE OF YOU finished third behind Gustavus Weston and Power Under Me in a Group 3 here in August then suddenly found top form, runner-up in the Group 1 Flying Five here before a brilliant victory in the Prix de L'Abbaye at Longchamp. He continued at that level in the lucrative Al Quoz sprint at Meydan in March and can give the weight away here.
