DUBAWI GOLD deserves the vote here after his tremendous effort at Newmarket. Though unable to get close to Frankel, he reversed earlier form with third-placed Native Khan and is probably still progressing despite having had 10 races. Slim Shadey ran an astonishing race for a 200/1 chance to finish fourth though he was a long way back and is unlikely to overturn the form. Roderic O'Connor was a major disappointment as he wasn't far behind Frankel in the Dewhurst. He can do very much better than he showed in the classic though the fast ground is probably against him. Dunboyne Express was a long way in front of Dubawi Gold in the Racing Post Trophy but the latter has made greater strides since then. Kevin Prendergast's colt is an obvious threat having done everything right on his comeback though he's never raced on ground this quick.
