The last two winners, Bubbly Bellini and WHOZTHECAT, face stiff tasks though the latter has been lightly-raced and performing at a much higher level. He wouldn't be travelling from Yorkshire for the fresh air and can reward each-way support at big odds. Fellow UK travellers Sir Maximilian and Caspian Prince have shot up the weights since finishing 1-2 at Chester but neither can be discounted in an open handicap. There are plenty of three-year-olds with good prospects though the younger generation have a very poor recent record in the race. The very lightly-raced Masai started favourite at Tipperary but finished last though he had easily beaten Kernoff at Dundalk in October and should do better. The latter holds Lady Mega on their run here last month while Shipyard and More Questions fought out a finish at Navan and are difficult to separate.
