In depth

Verdict

The 2019 Investec Derby fourth BROOME had no trouble coping with the drop back to 1m2f in a Listed race at Naas last month and he looks to be the class act in this. Numerian, one of three representing Joseph O’Brien, and Up Helly Aa have plenty to find to overturn Naas form, as does Helvic Dream and Jessica Harrington’s pair Njord and King Of Comedy but Bowerman is a really likeable sort with an excellent strike-rate and he is still unexposed over this trip. Thundering Nights is another of Joseph’s runners and she would have every chance on her third in last year’s Blandford Stakes here in September.
