In depth

Verdict

King Neptune was only sixth in the Norfolk at Ascot back in June but still finished in front of Real Appeal and Air Force Jet. The latter has since gone close in Listed company at Tipperary when ahead of Isabeau but LIL GREY (NAP) gets the vote. She took another step forward when beaten less than a length in a Group 3 over 6f her, with both Real Appeal and On Tick behind, and today’s shorter trip should suit on that evidence. Millisle has only won a maiden but that was also the case with Yulong Yuheng last year when winning this for Jessica Harrington’s yard.
