Eight of the last 10 favourites have won this and three-year-olds have marginally the best record. Aidan O'Brien arrives with three entries and Tapestry looks the best of them despite not running since last year's Arc. She had earlier won the Yorkshire Oaks and is a high-class filly so has to be on the shortlist. Easter was put in her place by Bocca Baciata in a Group 3 here last month and the winner should confirm the form and get involved while Outstanding, the third of the Ballydoyle entries, doesn't look up to this. Carla Bianca couldn't handle Grade 1 company in the Beverley D at Arlington but will be more at home at this level while French raider Kataniya is much better than she showed at Deauville having been runner-up at Group 2 level previously. There's a strong UK presence and one of them, RIBBONS, could have the edge. A Group 1 winner as a juvenile, she hasn't quite been at that sort of level in three starts this campaign though she ran well when a close third in the Pretty Polly here and will be spot-on for this.
