In depth

Verdict

Jim Bolger's pair New Treasure and Aunty Bridy are the only course winners and Kevin Manning chooses the latter, who was caught close home over 7f on her latest start in a Group 3 here. Lady Princess deserves a crack at this level having improved massively to land a Fairyhouse Listed contest from New Treasure when Dense Star was behind. Aidan O'Brien has two entries. Lipizzaner couldn't handle Group 1 company in the Middle Park and this is his level while PREAMBLE steps up from maiden company having beaten the consistent Colfer Kay on soft ground at Fairyhouse. He looked a very nice prospect that day and gets the nod to complete a quick double.
