CRUSADE stepped up on his debut at York to beat today's rivals Pearl In The Sand and Gush over C&D last month. It looks like this is his trip and, though others have stronger claims on the form book, Aidan O'Brien's colt can improve enough to follow up in this better grade. Experience, An Ghalanta and Bible Black are closely matched on their run together over 5f here last month. The former probably has the best form over this trip and looks a danger to the selection, despite her penalty, but Pierre D'Or has more to do than when winning here last month. Born To Sea is thrown in at the deep end on his debut but is a beautifully-bred colt and it would be no surprise if he were to prove well above average.
