There have been plenty of short-priced favourites, and some surprises, in this recently. Mick Channon has been going well and he wouldn't have sent Ffos Las maiden winner Orpha without good reason though she's taking a massive step-up in grade. Andy Oliver has been making a name for himself this season and Mark Johnston's former assistant has a fine flag-bearer in SENDMYLOVETOROSE. She landed a Group 3 here in July before going to Newmarket for the Group 2 Cherry Hinton where she had a neck to spare over the unlucky Maureen. The runner-up subsequently won a Group 3 at Ascot easily and the form looks good enough for this. Harasiya and My Special J'S are 1-1 after meeting here and at Leopardstown. The latter had a neck to spare over the C&D last time and, as there appeared to be no excuses, can confirm the form. Both look major threats along with Richard Hannon's Sky Lantern, who has been narrowly beaten in two Group 3's since landing a Listed contest at Naas.
