Verdict

Evasive Power made a successful debut over this trip at Navan, when Dom Carlos was beaten 7l, but couldn't go the pace when tried in Listed company over 6f here next time. Joseph O'Brien, who trains the latter, has his horses flying so the newcomer Tenax, a half-brother to a couple of winners in Germany, is one to keep an eye on though this looks a tough start. OFFLINE scored easily at Dundalk on his debut and though unable to match strides with Sergei Prokofiev in a Listed contest at Naas it was a very good run and he had Dandys Ocean, who made a winning start on this track, just behind. Pride Of Pimlico's opening victory at Naas was on testing ground and faces these conditions for the first time but the filly Bailly cost 100,000gns and is a half-sister to seven winners so has to be respected.
