In depth

Verdict

The form pick has to be NOTABLE GRADUATE, who gained many admirers with a fine effort behind Tiz The Shot at Leopardstown in October. A subsequent Listed success for the winner suggests this Irish 2000 Guineas and Epsom Derby entry will take some beating here. Puzzled made a promising start at Leopardstown last October but couldn't get involved after a tardy start on her return there last week. She can do better but the biggest threats will probably emerge from one of the newcomers. Marksmanship is engaged in the Dante Stakes and the son of Galileo is worth noting as is the Rock Of Gibraltar colt Irish Review, who makes a belated debut. Zanughan has an Epsom entry and his middle-distance pedigree suggests he should be up to this on his debut before tackling further.
