Glounthaune made a winning debut here last April and landed a Leopardstown Group 3 in October. He attempted to make all on his reappearance on the latter track but had no answer when DR ZEMPF and New Energy went past. The former, beaten less than a length in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes here in August, looks the one to beat though Buckaroo had a fine first campaign and opened this season when caught on the line in the Group 3 Ballysax over 1m2f at Leopardstown last month. Malex came with a late burst to land a 7f maiden here so will be suited by the extra while Wexford Native gained plenty of admirers at Navan.
